And the finished item .... This is a marble bag for one of my son's friends. The pattern design is from the Omiyage book by Kumiko Sudo that I received for my birthday. I was looking for a design on the internet and couldn't find anything, then I picked up the book - just to look at the lovely pictures really - and this was the first pattern! Hooray. The instructions are very clear, and it was easy to make. I got to do a bit of hand sewing, which is quite rare these days, and I'm quite pleased with it. Click through to my Flikr to see more pics.

Funny, great crafty-ness, and some fabulous tutorials. Check out the Fabric Doll House! I'm hoping to make at least one of these, I know a little person who will be 3 in a few months .... But not tonight, because I am making a marble bag for a friend's little boy who will be 5 on Saturday. No pressure there, then, with all the hand sewing this particular project requires!
