Phoenix Bakery. Run by a renowned baker, we've been to test the wares - and I can vouch for them wholeheartedly. Proper bread, lots of interesting other baked goods (Eccles Cakes were on the slab when I last visited), and you can have a cup of coffee in the cafe upstairs. What a great place - if you're local, go and buy something!

Bread!
Now, you should know that I really, really like bread. And mostly, I cook my own at home. But look who moved into town recently -

Sense of purpose
Right, I've done my Asian fusion stylie broth for dinner today (see here for recipe), I've had a cup of Pukka tea, and now I'm going to show you some photos - whether you like it or not!
Today's baking:
Cake, artisan bread, wobbly breadsticks

As you can see, inroads have been made on the cake, and, I have to report, all the breadsticks are gone, gone, gone!
Look at this beautiful handspun, hand dyed wool rug my Mum made for the children:

And finally, that Christmas cake - decorated. All gone except for the snowman. And yes, it was properly cooked - yummy!
